Hello! I’m Tianyu
But most people just call me Terry. I’m currently a masters student studying data science at UT, and a previous mechanical engineering graduate. After deciding to switch from traditional engineering to more tech oriented roles, I aspire to be an ML engineer, hoping to scale and maintain ML models.
My hobbies are what allow me to keep pushing forward. Music has been important to me since I was 4, and I still keep up with playing the flute. I also played a variety of sports, but I ultimately landed on volleyball as my main sport.
More recently, I’ve started getting into photography, taking photos of landscapes when traveling and some occasional portraits for grad pics. I also ran a bakery pop-up called “seoulgum” and sold over 300 pieces of salt bread in the Austin area.
